    Thank you once again! Have another question for you, in the video, you say that there is a process for storing this for a longer amount of time, I understand that a breathable lid and mixing it with an equal weight of brown sugar. What is the entire process and how long will this keep this fertilizer good? I have a very small patio and if I make something, I wouldn't be using all of it quickly. Thank you!

      Consider shaking hot chili flakes around the onions. Or, possibly a row cover that's fastened down well so nothing can get under the cover. You could also try the slug solution from his channel. It may be damage from slugs or other small insects.

    I started working with red earth, clay structure but a little more porous, very low ph (4,5). And am making 40% earth, 5 to 10% compost, 25% coco and 30% sand. (not exact but around those numbers). I get a decent structure. First had major ph problems, kinda solved it by adding hard wood ash to the mix (around 1 handful per galon of substrate did the trick, with a few more applications above soil every now and then), and started using JMS. This season is looking good, but took me almost 9 months to get to this point. I had a baby substrate hahaha. Still don’t see those nice fungii underneath the surface though, but plants seem to like it a lot and I see no more yellowing. Do I need anything else to enhance the mycelium life? what would you recommend? note on red earth: is very low in organic matter (1% at most), super rich in iron (but not plant available), aluminium, and practically an old and empty earth type. Very good for Yerba Mate, but bad bad bad for many species

    I know you shouldn't use this on the plants under the sun but I grow in pots, and I'm not up late enough to spray at night, so I get up early every morning and spray around garden. They are usually climbing the walls and the last few days I haven't found any. I only having fruiting plants at the moment, but I'm about to transplant the melon into the garden so I hope this method continues to work. Thanks for sharing what you know. I've utilized several concoctions and am having good results in the garden. Would love recipes for knat, ants and these darn moles. Thanks!

    @gardenlikeaviking Hello my fellow Viking brother. Hey this is a little off topic but what is your opinion on using gumballs as a mulch and somewhat of a slug and or pest deterrent. I'm growing a few cannabis plants and 20 gallon containers. One thing I have learned from your channel is to use what nature provides and not spend money on what mainstream tells you to. I have a few Gumball trees that litter my yard with gumballs . So I use them as a mulch. And I also will drop some in my worm castings and let the gumballs get inoculated and then add my worm casting gum balls into the soil as well what is your professional opinion on this practice? Before anyone comments. yes I am aware gumballs have the tree seeds inside the pods. Thank you kindly for any advice

    Last part of the Aspirin story: I'm from Scandinavia! and lived in Fort Wayne for three years! We have something in my country called Moose grass that is full of salicylic acid. Cant go out and pick it now, since I live in Texas. Aspirin you buy in the store has been altered chemically through modification.The purpose for this is said to be "so its easier to absorb without gastrointestinal distress" I do still have a bad heartburn from time to time. Right now I've dealt with headaches for two weeks straight. So, if you do want to douse your tomatoes with my go to medicin, start with just one uncoated tablet of aspirin of 325mg and dissolve it in a little bit of water. Then mix it in a gallon of water and pour it in a sprayer. Then go out there, when the sun is setting or on a cloudy day when the forecast says no rain. Spray on top of the leaves and under, and you can also spray some on the ground, just don't water with it😊

  • @giselawimark7472
    @giselawimark7472 2 дня назад

    Part two: I sprayed my tomatoes this year( with aspirin) when they were like 6-8 weeks old. Gave them a few days before they were ready to be planted. My soil was amended with cow manure, some compost, wormcastings and bone meal. I have fertilized my tomatoes twice with fish fertilizer since the beginning of April. We've had so much rain here that I thought for sure my Tom's would just give in. To my surprise I have never had healthier plants, and I mean not even leaf curl due to the heat here right now. No pests, no disease what so ever and I'm so confused😂 So today I investigated....and found that there are people out there😊 who said that doing this to your tomatoes can increase their heat tolerance😮 Mine are absolutely perfect, and I grow some Cherokee Purple bigger than ever. By the way they have barely been pruned. It's a couple of tall bushes in the Texas humid weather.

  • @giselawimark7472
    @giselawimark7472 2 дня назад

    I heard you say you never wanted to investigate aspirin 😊 I investigated a little. I have used aspirin almost all of my life due to bad headaches. I've known for some time that the key ingredient, salicylic acid, can be found in nature. The name "Aspirin" comes from "Spirea" a biological genus of shrubs, that can be found in jasmine, beans, peas, clover and some grasses and trees. It can be found in Willow bark and leaves. Even the ancient Egyptians used that tree for aches and pains, it said. It goes as far back as to Hippocrates writings apparently.
